Well, it's strange, but the date of mothers day varies in almost every country.

Here is a list of the dates in some countries:

• In 2008, it'll be celebrated on the 11th of May in the USA (the second Sunday of May).
  In Canada, Germany, Australia, China, Brazil, South Africa, India, Japan, Turkey and in many other countries, it's the very same as in the USA. Most nations celebrate mothers day on the second Sunday of May.
• In the UK and Ireland, it was on the 2nd of March (the fourth Sunday of Lent). It's often called "mothering Sunday".
• In Portugal, Spain and Hungary, it's the first Sunday of May.
• In Norway, it's the second Sunday of February.
• In Russia, it's celebrated on the last Sunday in November.
